About
Walk with me through the halls of Versailles!
Greetings! I’m Evie Carrier, a digital artist and photographer splitting my time between the picturesque locales of Grand Rapids, MI, and Paradise, MI.
My journey into the world of art and history began early in life, finding roots during my time at Creston High School, where I embraced my creative instincts. Furthering my exploration, I pursued studies in Art and History at Evangel College, immersing myself in the diverse styles and techniques that span the course of history.
Following the completion of my undergraduate degree, I delved deeper into the art of photography through courses at Michigan State University. Eager to expand my skill set, I dedicated two years to private classes, honing my proficiency in Photoshop and encaustic under the guidance of Alicia Tormey.
My passion for capturing the beauty that surrounds me is evident in both my photography and art. Serving as the Vice President of Programs at the Grand Rapids Camera Club and previously holding roles as Treasurer and Board member of Grand Valley Artists, I’ve been fortunate to share my enthusiasm with others.
As an ever-evolving artist and photographer, I continually seek to learn new techniques and push the boundaries of my creative abilities. My commitment lies in crafting distinctive and awe-inspiring pieces of art that capture the very essence of my subjects. The fusion of my love for both art and photography propels my creativity, allowing me to express myself in truly unique ways.
